The Central Decontamination Unit is governed by, and complies with the HSE code of practice for decontamination of reusable invasive medical devices.
Summary of Services Provided
We provide a comprehensive decontamination and sterilisationservice for processing reusable surgical instruments / surgically invasive devices / items used in Cappagh Hospital's four operating theatres, and other departments throughout the hospital.
