High Dependency Unit
The High Dependency Unit (HDU) is a specialised unit which caters for both adult and paediatric patients in the post operative period of their treatment.
Summary of Services Provided
The HDU is a four bedded unit which provides close observation of patients in the post operative period of their treatment with one nurse caring for a maximum of two patients.
Admission to the unit is decided by the Consultant Anaesthetists.
Hours of Service
The HDU runs from Monday to Saturday.
