Driving
Cappagh is easily accessible from the M50 or Dublin city centre.
From M50:
- Exit at N2 (Exit 5) for Finglas/City Centre.
- Take the Finglas/Cappagh slip road.
- Turn right at the traffic lights, up Mellowes Road.
- Veer left to traffic lights at church with high steeple.
- Turn right at these traffic lights up Cappagh Road to traffic lights at T-junction, turn right and Cappagh Hospital is the third entrance on the left (Just after Pedestrian Lights).
From City Centre:
- Take the N2, pass Glasnevin Cemetry, turn left just after the
footbridge at Finglas.
- Continue passing church on your left, through set of traffic lights, up to next traffic lights at T-junction, turn right and Cappagh Hospital is the third entrance on the left(Just after Pedestrian Lights).
Please note there is a fixed parking fee per visit.
Bus Service to the Hospital
- The 40D bus runs from Parnell Street every 15 – 30 minutes at peak times, passing the front gate of Cappagh Hospital and on to Tyrellstown, Dublin 15.
- The 104 bus arrives and leaves the hospital grounds each hour until 7pm, commuting to and from Clontarf Dart Station, via Beaumont Hospital.
- The 40 bus runs from Parnell Street to Mellowes Road which is a 15 minute walk to the hospital.
- The 220 bus runs to Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital from Ballymun and on to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and Our Lady’s Well, Mulhuddart.
- The 17A bus from Kilbarrack comes to a terminus near Cappagh Road and is a 15 minute walk to the hospital.
