Occupational Health Department
Occupational health and safety is a cross disciplinary area concerned with protecting the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in work or employment in Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital.
Summary of Services Provided
- Pre-employment medicals
- MRSA screening and follow up in liaison with infection control
- Workplace risk assessment in liaison with General Services and Occupational Therapy
- Pregnancy risk assessment
- Personal protective equipment training
- Flu and Hepatitis B vaccination and record keeping
- We also work closely with Nursing Administration and Human Resources following workplace injuries and needlestick injuries.
All services are confidential.

Ms Jane O’Hora, Occupational Health Nurse: Tuesday and Thursday: 9.30am – 2.00pm
