Summary of Services Provided
- Sourcing and purchasing pharmaceutical supplies for the hospital.
- Appropriate storage of medication.
- Negotiating with suppliers.
- Supply of medication to wards and other hospital departments for ward stock and for specific patients.

Provide Ward Clinical Pharmacy Services including:
- Verifying patient’s medication history including hypersensitivities
- Give advice and support on appropriate drug choices.
- Monitoring adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and report drug costs and advise on cost reduction.
- Staff Prescription Dispensing.
The pharmacy department is also involved in the following committee’s within the hospital:
- Drug & Therapeutics Committee
- Pain Management Committee
- Medication Management Committee
