Smoke Free Policy
In line with current legislation and to provide a healthier environment for our patients, visitors and employees, smoking is prohibited throughout the hospital.
Smoking is permitted only in designated external smoking areas:
• Outside Main Entrance at benches.
• Outside St Joseph's/St Teresa's Ward at benches.
• Outside Day Ward at benches.
• Outside Outpatients Entrance.
• Outside Admissions Entrance at benches.
• Front of Laboratory.
Complaints Policy
Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital has put in place a complaints procedure. We guarantee that all complaints will be treated confidentially and will be processed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the Complaints Policy.

Freedom of Information
- All applications under the Freedom of Information Act (1997) to be made in writing and duly signed and forwarded to the Freedom of Information Officer.
- Proof of identity must be provided.
- Requests to be accompanied by two forms of identification one to be photographic (i.e. copy of driver licence or passport).

- To complain about any aspect of hospital service, to have the complaint investigated, and to be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
