St. Joseph’s Day Care Unit

The aim of St. Joseph’s Day Care Unit is to provide care for patients requiring investigations and operations under general anaesthetic, who are then able to go home the evening of their operation.  The dedicated team in the day ward offer patient focussed care of the highest quality for patients in a friendly relaxed environment.

Patients attending the Day Ward recover quickly from their surgery/procedure and are able to return home within a couple of hours.  Patients who require continuing hospitalisation must be transferred to another ward after the Day Ward is closed.
