St. Paul’s Ward
St. Paul’s Ward is a purpose built ten single roomed unit. It provides a facility for a comprehensive range of treatments for patients with musculoskeletal disorders and infections. The ward is designed so that each room is within easy access and visibility of the nurses station. There is a central nursing station with screening monitors at the desk. Entrance to this unit from within and outside of the hospital is accessed by swipe cards for staff and call service for visitors.
Summary of Services Provided
It facilitates the treatment of specific infections in the two neutral air pressure rooms such as:
- MRSA
- C. Diff (Clostridium Difficile)
- T.B.
- VRE (Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus)
- ESBL
- SARI
- Osteomyelitis
- Diabetic ulcers / infected foot ulcers.
- There is a specific Review Room for review of return patients.
- There is an Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy unit on site.
